Helping

people breathe better & live well through breathwork.

Did you realise the way we breathe can increase or decrease anxiety, stress and sleep?

How we breathe affects our health and wellbeing. Our modern stressed sedentary lifestyle has shifted our breathing patterns away from our natural breath. Many of us have adopted poor and ineffective breathing patterns, negatively impacting our physical and mental health.

Our physical, mental, and emotional states have distinct breathing patterns. When we change the way we breathe we can alter our physical, mental, and emotional states.

We breathe 25,000 or so times a day.

The question is are you doing it right?

Do you frequently sniff, sigh, yawn, breathe through your mouth or feel like you cant take a satisfying breath?

These are some of the common indicators of poor or dysfunctional breathing patterns.

Healthy breathing is linked with breathing that is through the nose, slow in speed, light in volume, low in the body.

Healthy breathing or efficient breathing increases oxygen uptake in the body and supports the health of all our tissues, organs and cells.

Efficient breathing and increased oxygen uptake supports our health on every level from better digestion, more mental clarity, more energy and better sleep, just to name a few.

‘Functional breathing involves breathing in and out through the nose. The breath is light, regular, effortless with the primary movement from the diaphragm.’
